Hello, MMCM is putting out a call for dedicated volunteers to help make our upcoming intiatives a success! Our organization is built on the passion and hard work of people like you, and there are many opportunities to get involved and make a tangible impact.

Committee and Event Volunteer Opportunities:
Tradeshow Committee
Assist with planning, organization, and on-the-day operations for our bi-annual trade show. This is a great chance to use your organizational skills and network with professionals.
Action Items for this committee and roles would include:
Social Media/Advertising Coordinators: This role will assist with developing and executing a comprehensive social media and advertising the trade show. This includes creating and managing social media accounts, developing engaging content, managing paid advertising campaigns, analyzing metrics, and optimizing content and campaigns for maximum engagement and ROI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media and digital advertising, excellent communication and writing skills, and experience with social media analytics tools.
Vendor and Exhibitor Coordinators: This role would assist with identifying, recruiting, and engaging potential vendors and exhibitors for our Expo. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, creating, and implementing outreach strategies, negotiating vendor booth space and sponsorship packages, and ensuring exhibitor satisfaction throughout the event planning process. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Event and Contest Coordinators: This role will assist with planning engaging and entertaining events, contests, and activities during our trade show. This includes brainstorming and developing creative ideas for events, coordinating logistics such as setup, volunteers, and equipment, managing sponsorships and prizes, and promoting events to attendees through marketing and social media channels. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and have experience planning and executing events in a tradeshow or similar environment.
Outreach/Special Events Committee
Help organize and execute a variety of events throughout the year. If you enjoy planning, this committee is for you! Here are a some of the Annual events that MMCM organizes where your help would be invaluable!
Public Outreach and Education Coordinators: This role will assist with planning and executing educational events and initiatives to engage and inform both the public and cannabis businesses about the industry, community, and related topics. This includes organizing town hall meetings, classes, seminars, and Q&A sessions for the public, as well as targeted educational events for cannabis businesses and other related industries. This role involves developing and delivering educational materials, identifying, and collaborating with subject matter experts and speakers, and managing event logistics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and public engagement, strong project management skills, and experience in event planning and community outreach such as:
Monthly Networking Event: Work behind the scenes to create a welcoming and productive environment for our members to connect with one another.
Annual Veterans Event: Help us honor and support our veterans by assisting with the planning and execution of this special event. Veterans receive their Patient Certification free and a goody bag to take home. This year’s event is a weekend camping event with entertainment and comradery.
Hall of Flags Event: Play a role in this important event at the statehouse.
Volunteer Picnic: We need help organizing and running a special event to celebrate and thank our incredible volunteers.
Legislative Committee
This committee works to track legislation that affects our community and advocates our interests. Your advocacy and research skills are needed!
This committee is seeking Individuals within the Cannabis Community to Join our Legislative Committee, patients and business owners. The Legislative Committees responsible for monitoring and advocating for legislation that impacts the cannabis community. The committee will track legislation at the state level, identify potential impacts on the community, and work to ensure that our interests are represented and protected. Committee members will develop and execute advocacy strategies, including calls to action, attendance at legislative hearings, and building relationships with key stakeholders and policymakers. The committee seeks individuals with experience in legislative advocacy, policy analysis, and/or community organizing to serve as members and contribute to our mission of shaping legislation to support and advance the interests of the cannabis community.
Patient Advocate Committee
Help support our community by ensuring that the patient voice is heard at the legislative level. This committee works on behalf of those who we serve.
